Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
SnappyTix is designed to need as little of your data as possible.
What we do not collect
- No account is required to browse — we do not ask you to sign up or log in.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not run third-party advertising or cross-site trackers on this site.
- Payment details are never entered on SnappyTix; purchases happen entirely on the organizer's own provider.
Stored only in your browser
Your saved favorites are stored locally in your browser's localStorage under the key snappytix:favorites. They stay on your device, are not sent to us, and you can clear them anytime by clearing site data.
Data we may process
- Standard server logs: our hosting provider may record request metadata (such as IP address and user agent) for security and reliability. Each API response also includes a random
X-Request-Idheader to aid debugging; it is not tied to your identity. - Fonts: pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of serving those files.
- Event images: images are loaded directly from a short allowlist of source hosts; we send a
no-referrerpolicy on those requests.
Product measurement
SnappyTix can record a small set of first-party product counts — a search happened, a search returned nothing, an event page was opened, an event was saved, shared, or added to a calendar, and an official-provider link was followed. This is off unless SnappyTix explicitly enables it, and while it is off nothing is recorded at all.
When it is on, the design limits what can be stored, not just what we choose to store:
- Only the seven counts above are accepted. Anything else is rejected outright.
- Your search text is never sent or stored — a search is recorded only as "had a query" or "had no query".
- No IP address, user agent, cookie, session, login, referrer, or device identifier is stored.
- Requests to fill in what is missing are not made: there is no advertising pixel, no third-party analytics script, and no cross-site tracker on this site.
- To keep the endpoint from being flooded, a one-way daily code is derived from your address using a secret we hold. It cannot be reversed to an address, it changes every day, and it is not usable to follow you across days.
- Raw counts are deleted after 30 days; only anonymous daily totals are kept longer.
Listing reports
Each event page has a "Report listing issue" button for telling us a listing is wrong, cancelled, pointing at the wrong link, or should be removed. We store the category you pick, what you write, and a one-way rate-limiting code derived from your address — not the address itself.
A contact email is optional. If you give one, we use it only to follow up on that report. Reports are read by a person and nothing is removed or edited automatically. We cannot change the organizer's own website.
Organizer submissions
If you submit an event through the organizer form, we use the contact details you provide solely to verify, review, and manage that listing.
Leaving SnappyTix
When you follow an event link you leave SnappyTix; the destination site's own privacy policy then applies.
